NSW South Coast HOG
No, that's not a typo. This year's Bathurst 500 (actually, considering we don't go into Bathurst, can somebody explain to me why it's called the Bathurst 500?) was 601km from start to finish! An epic journey indeed for a day ride. Admittedly there was quite a lengthy diversion due to circumstances beyond our control which meant a trip through Mt Victoria.
The weather was interesting, I think it would be safe to say that we experienced 4 seasons in one day. Rain when we started, which fortunately cleared up, then baking heat and sunshine with fog to finish off the day!
It was a great turnout with nearly 30 bikes in total. Nav man's nav man was a wee bit unreliable (refer Southern Highlands ride) however we didn't get lost as such, but there were almost some scenic routes taken along the way....
